A structured pulse survey to assess your design team's wellbeing, collaboration, tooling satisfaction, and workflow health. Run it quarterly to catch problems before they become exits.

Best practices

  1. Run anonymously. Psychological safety requires anonymity. Use a form tool that doesn't log names — even if your team says they don't mind.
  2. 8-minute time-box. A health check that takes 20 minutes won't get completed. Design the survey to be done in one coffee break.
  3. Share results with the team. If results disappear into a manager's notebook, trust drops. Share the anonymised summary within 48 hours.
  4. Act on one item per cycle. Trying to fix everything at once fixes nothing. Pick the highest-voted item and make it visibly better.
  5. Track trends, not snapshots. A single 7/10 score means nothing. The pattern across four quarters tells you whether the team is improving or drifting.
